
Cooperation agreement with the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia, for the awarding of the ITALI double degree in:
- Master’s Degree in Italian for Teaching Foreigners (ItAS) - at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia
- Master’s Degree in Italian Language and Literature (LILE) - at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia.
The awarding of the ITALI double degree requires a total of 120 ECTS credits.
The admission requirements for the ITALI double degree program are regulated by the respective national legislation. Students admitted to the program and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must hold a bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma, or another foreign qualification recognized as equivalent.
To be admitted and enroll in the double degree program, students must submit their application by the end of October of the matriculation year.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who have chosen the double degree option and meet the admission requirements must submit their application (curriculum vitae and motivation letter in Italian, and application form) to the Student Services Office (Segreteria Corsi di Laurea).
Students admitted to the double degree program and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must be regularly enrolled in the Master's Degree Course in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItAS).
The prerequisite for enrolling in the program is a good knowledge of Italian (at least at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
To progress to the second year of the double degree program, students must have obtained the credits required by the first-year study plan (60 ECTS) by 30 September of the first year at the latest. If this requirement is not met, they will be reassigned to the institutional study plan of their reference degree program.
Students from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia participating in the double degree programme attend two semesters (the 2nd semester of the first year and the 1st semester of the second year) of the master's degree course in Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.
The double degree mobility period may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period by submitting an application according to the annual deadlines established in the Erasmus call for applications.
During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan developed by the two universities and successfully complete all required exams for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including part of the compulsory internship.
Students participating in the programme are not required to pay any fees or tuition to the host university. Tuition fees are to be paid to the home university.
Students on mobility will have the same rights and obligations as those of the host university. Prior to the mobility period, students must sign a declaration committing themselves to comply with the regulations of the host university.
Students participating in the mobility programme must, for the entire duration of their stay, meet the following requirements:
- for all students
- regular enrolment at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia
- for students from non-EU countries
- residence permit (if required and in the absence of a specific international agreement)
- health insurance (if required and in the absence of a specific international agreement). Insurance certificates must be attached to students’ files prior to departure
- for students from EU countries
- European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
The assessment methods will be those established by the host university, as set out in its academic regulations.
The thesis defence will take place at the student's home university.
The composition of the examination committee will be determined by the university where the student defends the thesis, even by derogation from the relevant thesis regulation regarding the number of members.
The committee may include the coordinators of the agreement; in any case, at least one member of the partner university must be included. Participation in the committee may also take place remotely.
