Framework agreement on international academic cooperation between the Université de Caen-Normandie and the Università per Stranieri di Perugia aimed at awarding a double degree: the Bachelor's degree in "Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World" from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia and the "Langues Littératures et Civilisations Étrangères et Régionales" (LLCER), Italian track, from the Université de Caen-Normandie.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia who wish to enrol in the double degree programme and meet the admission requirements must submit their application to the Registrar's Office (application form, curriculum vitae, and motivation letter in Italian and French) when enrolling in the second year of their programme, by the end of October.
- be duly enrolled
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for admission to the double degree program
or - in the third year of the degree program and have acquired at least 120 ECTS credits at the time of departure for the double degree mobility
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for admission to the double degree program
- have proven proficiency in French at a minimum level of B1 (DUEF, DELF, DALF, or assessment test administered by the partner university)
The number of students admitted to the double degree program is agreed upon annually and includes a maximum of ten students per University.
The mobility period corresponds to the third (and final, indivisible) academic year of the degree program and may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period (applications must be submitted according to the deadlines set out each year in the Erasmus call for applications).
During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan jointly defined by the two Universities and to successfully complete all required exams, for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including the mandatory internship.
Students participating in the double degree programme
- will be enrolled at both institutions during the current academic year and will pay tuition fees only at their home university
- will be considered by both parties as full students, with the same benefits, rights, and responsibilities as regular students. In particular, they will have access to courses, tutorials, laboratory placements, seminars, and conferences
- will therefore hold student status at both institutions
- will comply with the internal regulations of the host institution and all legal requirements of the host country
- must comply with the legislation in force in the host country, particularly with regard to health insurance and social security
Both universities will handle all administrative enrolment procedures and the management of student records from the partner university through their respective student offices and the designated academic coordinators for the double degree programme.
Students are required to attend classes regularly and to take the related examinations according to the procedures established by the host university’s regulations.
During the study period abroad, students must comply with the rules in force at the host institution regarding the organization of teaching activities and the procedures for taking and assessing examinations.
Courses will be taught in French.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia take their final examination at Université de Caen-Normandie at the end of their mobility period (third year), in accordance with the regulations of Université de Caen-Normandie for the award of the degree. As part of the same examination, students are expected to complete a final project, preferably agreed upon with the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, for the purpose of obtaining the LiCIMoD degree.
The final paper may address the same topics required for the final examination at Université de Caen-Normandie.
By way of exception to the thesis regulations of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, the final examination taken at Université de Caen-Normandie is also considered as the thesis defense for Università per Stranieri di Perugia, provided that a faculty member from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia participates in the assessment committee, including via remote connection.
Nevertheless, students must submit their official thesis request via email to the Student Registrar’s Office of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, pay the corresponding fee, and send a copy of the final paper before their thesis defense at Université de Caen-Normandie.
