  2. alternatively, complete one of the following:

Management of the Mobility Period

Before the start of each university semester, the University Erasmus staff organizes an online welcome event ("welcome meeting") to which you will be invited via email.

Upon your arrival in Perugia:

  1. You must first go to the Erasmus and International Mobility Service (main office at Palazzo Gallenga, first floor) to sign the arrival register. The date you sign the register will be considered the official start of your mobility period;
  2. If needed, the Erasmus and International Mobility Service will issue you a certificate of mobility start for your home university, using their form if required;
  3. You will then take the Italian language placement test on the date and time previously communicated to you by email from the Language Course Office staff. The result will be sent to you immediately via email, along with the schedule for the Italian language and culture course you have been assigned to. If these courses are not included in your Learning Agreement, you are free to decide whether to take the test and attend the courses;
  4. You may then begin attending the courses indicated in your Learning Agreement.

During your mobility period, you may find it necessary to make changes to your Learning Agreement for various reasons.

To do so, within 30 days from the start date of your mobility, you must:

  1. immediately contact your mobility tutor regarding this matter;
  2. subsequently contact the Erasmus coordinator at your home university to obtain their approval, which may be provided:
  • directly through the dedicated platform, if your mobility is managed via OLA;
  • otherwise, by sending the "Learning Agreement During the Mobility" form, signed both by you and the coordinator, via email;
  1. have your proposal reviewed by the Erasmus coordinator at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, who may:
  • reject your proposal with justification, in which case you may revise and resubmit it;
  • approve your proposal

    In both cases, you will be notified directly by OLA via email, or, if your mobility is not managed through OLA, via an email from the Erasmus and International Mobility Service.

Learning agreement "during the mobility"

You must request the extension at least 30 days before the original end date of your mobility period.

To do this, you will need to:

  • contact your home university’s mobility tutor informally to ensure that your initiative is permitted
  • download the paper form titled request for extension
  • complete the above-mentioned form, sign it, and have it signed by the responsible person at your home university

    in addition, you will need to:

  • download the form Learning Agreement During the Mobility  and fill in the "Table A" section, where you must list the courses you propose to attend during the requested extension period
  • send the completed form to erasmus@unistrapg.it together with the request for extension

The Erasmus+ and International Mobility Office will submit your request for evaluation to the Rector’s Delegate for International Mobility and the Erasmus+ programme and will inform you if your request is approved.

The end date of your mobility period must be communicated to the staff of the Erasmus and International Mobility Service (erasmus@unistrapg.it) at least one week before departure, to allow—where possible—for the preparation of final documentation, which will include:

  • Certificate of Mobility;
  • Transcript of Records.

PLEASE NOTE: The end date of your mobility period must correspond to one of the following:

  • the date of your last recorded exam;
  • the date of your last attended class;
  • the date of your last visit to the Erasmus and International Mobility Service

Gabriele's Erasmus+ Experience

Gabriele enthusiastically shares his positive experience in the Erasmus+ programme at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, which he originally chose out of curiosity, having never heard of it before. He highlights the excellent academic quality, noting the expertise and helpfulness of professors and coordinators, as well as the wide range of courses offered, including the opportunity to learn Italian for free. From a social perspective, he recommends Perugia for its vibrant Erasmus student network (ESN), which organises daily events, making it easy to meet new friends and explore local culture. Finally, Gabriele recommends Perugia as an excellent base for travelling within Italy and, in summary, his only regret is having to leave soon and the concern that future exchange experiences might not match the high standards he found in Perugia.
