Cooperation agreement with the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia, for the awarding of the ITALI double degree in:
- Master's Degree in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItAS) - at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia
- Master's Degree in Italian Language and Literature (LILE) - at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia.
The attainment of the ITALI double degree requires a total of 120 ECTS credits.
The admission requirements for the ITALI double degree programme are those established by the respective national regulations. Students admitted to the programme and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must hold a bachelor's degree or a three-year university diploma, or another foreign qualification deemed equivalent.
To be admitted and enroll in the double degree programme, students must submit their application by the end of October of the year of first enrollment.
Students from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who have chosen the double degree option and who meet the admission requirements must submit their application (curriculum vitae, motivation letter in Italian, and application form) to the student services office.
Students admitted to the double degree program and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must be regularly enrolled in the Master’s degree course in Italian for Teaching Foreigners (ItAS).
The prerequisite for enrollment in the program is a good knowledge of Italian (at least level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
To access the second year of the double degree program, students must have obtained the credits required by the study plan for the first year (60 ECTS credits) by and no later than September 30 of the first year. If this requirement is not met, students will be reassigned to the standard study plan of their relevant degree course.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia participating in the double degree programme attend two semesters (second semester of the first year and first semester of the second year) of the Master’s programme in Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.
The double degree mobility period can be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period by applying according to the annual deadlines set out in the Erasmus call for applications.
During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan prepared by the two universities and pass all required examinations for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including part of the compulsory internship.
Students participating in the programme are not required to pay any fees or charges at the host university. Tuition fees will be paid to the home university.
Students on mobility will have the same rights and obligations as the students of the host university. Prior to the start of the mobility period, students must sign a declaration stating their commitment to comply with the regulations of the host university.
Students participating in the mobility programme must, for the entire duration of their stay, meet the following requirements:
- for all students
- regular enrolment at the University for Foreigners of Perugia
- for students from non-EU countries
- residence permit (if required, in the absence of a specific international agreement)
- health insurance (if required, in the absence of a specific international agreement). Insurance certificates must be attached to the students’ files prior to departure
- for students from EU countries
- European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
The methods for assessing academic performance are those established by the host University as indicated in its relevant academic regulations.
The thesis defense will take place at the home University.
The composition of the examination board will be determined by the University at which the student defends the final examination, and may deviate from the respective thesis regulations regarding the number of board members.
Representatives involved in the agreement may be included in the board; in any case, at least one faculty member from the partner University must be part of the board. Participation in the board may also take place remotely.
