Double Degree ITALI between the Master's Degree Programme in “Italian for Teaching to Foreigners” (ItaS) and the Master's Degree Programme in “Italian Language and Literature” (LILE) at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia

The admission requirements for the ITALI double degree program are those established by the respective national regulations. Students admitted to the program and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must hold a bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma, or another qualification obtained abroad that is recognized as suitable.

To be admitted and enroll in the double degree program, students must submit their application by mid-November of the year of enrollment.

Students from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who have chosen the double degree program and meet the admission requirements must submit their application to the University Academic Coordinator for this double degree (curriculum vitae and motivation letter in Italian, along with the application form).

Students admitted to the double degree programme and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must be regularly enrolled in the master’s degree programme in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItaS).

The prerequisite for admission to the programme is a good command of Italian (at least a B2 level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

To progress to the second year of the double degree pathway, students must have obtained the credits required by the study plan for the first year (60 ECTS) by 30 September of the first year at the latest. Failure to do so will result in students being reintegrated into the standard academic curriculum of the relevant degree programme.

Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia participating in the double degree programme spend two semesters (2nd semester of the first year, 1st semester of the second year) attending the master's degree course in Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.

The double degree mobility period may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period, by applying according to the annual deadlines set out in the Erasmus call.

During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan developed by both universities and pass all the required exams for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including part of the compulsory internship.

Students participating in the programme are not required to pay any tuition fees or charges at the host university. Registration fees will be paid to the home university.

Students undertaking mobility will enjoy the same rights and responsibilities as students of the host university. Prior to the mobility period, students must sign a declaration undertaking to comply with the regulations of the host university.

Students participating in mobility must meet the following requirements for the entire duration of their stay:

• for all students
  • regular enrollment at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia
• for students from non-EU countries
  • residence permit (if required, in the absence of a specific international agreement)
  • health insurance (if required, in the absence of a specific international agreement). Insurance certificates must be attached to students' files before departure
• for students from EU countries
  • European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

The methods of assessment will be those established by the host University, as specified in its academic regulations.

The thesis defense will take place at the student’s home University.

The composition of the examination board will be determined by the University where the student defends the final examination, including possible exemptions from the relevant thesis regulations regarding the number of board members.

The board may include the representatives of the agreement; in any case, at least one faculty member from the partner University must be part of the board. Participation may also take place remotely.
