Framework agreement for international academic cooperation between the Université de Caen-Normandie and the Università per Stranieri di Perugia for the awarding of a double degree: the Bachelor's degree in "Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World" from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia and the Licence in "Langues Littératures et Civilisations Étrangères et Régionales" (LLCER), Italian track, from the Université de Caen-Normandie.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who wish to enroll in the double degree program and meet the admission requirements must submit their application to the University Academic Advisor for this double degree (application form, curriculum vitae, and statement of motivation in Italian and French) at the time of enrollment in the second year of study or by mid-November.
- be regularly enrolled
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for the double degree programme
or - in the third year of the Bachelor's Degree and have earned at least 120 ECTS by the time of departure for the double degree mobility
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for the double degree programme
- hold a certified knowledge of French at minimum level B1 (DUEF, DELF, DALF, or by means of an assessment by the partner university)
The number of students admitted to the double degree program is agreed upon annually and includes a maximum of ten students per university.
The mobility period corresponds to the third academic year of the degree program, is not divisible, and may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period (by applying according to the deadlines set out each year in the Erasmus call for applications).
During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan developed by both universities and to pass all required exams for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including the compulsory internship.
Students participating in the double degree program
- will be enrolled at both institutions during the academic year and will pay tuition fees only at their home university
- will be regarded by both parties as full students, with the same rights, benefits, and responsibilities as regular students. In particular, they may attend courses, tutorials, laboratory internships, seminars, and conferences
- will therefore have student status at both institutions
- will be required to comply with the internal regulations of the host institution and meet all legal obligations of the host country
- must comply with the legislation in force in the host country, particularly with regard to health insurance and social security
Both universities will be responsible for all administrative enrollment formalities and for managing the student records of those coming from the partner university, through their respective offices and academic coordinators for the double degree program.
Students are required to regularly attend classes and take the corresponding examinations in accordance with the regulations of the host university.
During their study period abroad, students must comply with the regulations of the host institution regarding teaching organization and examination procedures and assessment methods.
The courses attended at the University of Caen will be taught in French.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia take a final exam at Université de Caen-Normandie at the end of their mobility period (third year), in accordance with the regulations of Université de Caen-Normandie for the awarding of the degree. As part of the same exam, students complete a final project, preferably agreed upon with the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, for the purpose of awarding the LiCIMoD degree.
The final paper may cover the same topics envisaged for the final exam at Université de Caen-Normandie.
By way of exception to the thesis regulations of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, the final exam taken at Université de Caen-Normandie is recognized as the thesis defense for the Università per Stranieri di Perugia as well, provided that a member of the evaluation committee from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia participates, including remotely.
Students must nonetheless submit a formal thesis application by email to the Università per Stranieri di Perugia Student Office, pay the requisite fee, and send a copy of the final paper before the thesis defense at Université de Caen-Normandie.
