Framework agreement for international academic cooperation between the Université de Caen-Normandie and the Università per Stranieri di Perugia aimed at awarding a double degree: the Bachelor’s in “Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World” from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, and the “Langues Littératures et Civilisations Étrangères et Régionales” (LLCER) licence, Italian track, from the Université de Caen-Normandie.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia who wish to enroll in the double degree program and who meet the admission requirements must submit their application to the Student Office (application form, curriculum vitae, and motivation letter in Italian and French) at the time of enrollment for the second year of their program, by the end of October.
- be regularly enrolled
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for admission to the double degree programme
or - in the third year of the Bachelor's Degree Programme and have obtained at least 120 ECTS credits at the time of departure for the double degree mobility
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for admission to the double degree programme
- hold certified proficiency in French at a minimum level of B1 (DUEF, DELF, DALF, or an assessment test by the partner university)
The number of students admitted to the double degree program is agreed upon annually and includes a maximum of ten students per University.
The mobility period corresponds to the third, non-divisible academic year of the degree program and may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period (by applying according to the annual deadlines set by the Erasmus call for applications).
During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the curriculum prepared by both Universities and to complete all required exams, for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including the compulsory internship.
Students participating in the double degree program
- will be enrolled at both institutions during the current academic year and will pay tuition fees only at their home university
- will be considered by both parties as fully recognized students, with the same benefits, rights, and responsibilities as regular students. In particular, they will have access to courses, tutorials, laboratory internships, seminars, and conferences
- will therefore have student status at both institutions
- will comply with the internal regulations of the host institution and all legal obligations of the host country
- must comply with the legislation in force in the host country, particularly concerning health insurance and social security
Both universities will handle all administrative enrollment procedures and management of student files from the partner university through their respective student offices and the academic coordinators for the double degree program.
Students are required to attend classes regularly and to take the relevant exams in accordance with the regulations of the host university.
During their study period abroad, students must comply with the rules of the host institution regarding course organization, examination procedures and assessment methods.
Courses will be taught in French.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia take a final examination at l’Université de Caen-Normandie at the end of their mobility period (third year), in accordance with the regulations of l’Université de Caen-Normandie for the awarding of the degree. As part of the same examination, students are required to complete a final project, preferably agreed upon with the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, for the purpose of awarding the LiCIMoD degree.
The final project may address the same topics as those set for the final examination at l’Université de Caen-Normandie.
By derogation from the thesis regulations of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, the final examination at l’Université de Caen-Normandie is therefore recognized as the thesis defense also for the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, provided that a member of the exam committee is from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, who may participate remotely.
Students are still required to submit a formal thesis application by email to the Secretariat of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, pay the relevant fee, and send a copy of the final project before the thesis defense at l’Université de Caen-Normandie.
