From 14 to 20 September 2026, the Settimana della Custodia returns to Perugia, dedicating a new edition to small and significant acts of care and love for the city. This initiative aims to raise awareness among all citizens, encouraging each person to become a steward of their city through simple, concrete actions that care for and cherish the places that are part of daily urban life.
The University for Foreigners of Perugia will participate in the initiative on Friday, 18 September, with a clean-up and landscaping activity in Sant’Angelo Park and the creation of an intercultural medicinal herb garden. In the square in front of Palazzo Gallenga, the University will host a community lunch featuring language tandems with international students and moments of cultural exchange focused on environmental and food-related issues, within the context of the Mercato dell'Arco Etrusco organized by CIA Umbria and in collaboration with local restaurateurs from the Distretto Garibaldi Association.

Urban regeneration initiative and green space maintenance at Parco Sant’Angelo
This participatory clean-up and maintenance activity in the park will also include the planting of local aromatic herbs and plants, provided by CIA Umbria.
12:30 pm
Community lunch & language exchange tandems in the square in front of Palazzo Gallenga
Participants may purchase products at the Mercato dell'Arco Etrusco by CIA Umbria and from local restaurateurs' stands organized by the Associazione Distretto Garibaldi APS. This will be followed by intercultural language tandem sessions focused on food and agriculture topics.

At 9:30 AM, participants will gather in Piazza Fortebraccio to walk together to Parco Sant’Angelo.
