The JAD‑IT‑UZ project of the University for Foreigners of Perugia among the winners of the MUR Italy-Uzbekistan call for proposals

The news was announced on February 18 during the Forum of Italian and Uzbek Rectors.

The University for Foreigners of Perugia is among the winners of the Italy-Uzbekistan bilateral call for proposals, promoted by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), with the project JAD‑IT‑UZ "Joint AI‑Defined Integrated Tutor Zone", based on the integration of artificial intelligence tools in the teaching of Italian as a second language, with the aim of strengthening academic mobility and intercultural understanding between the two countries.

The announcement was made this morning during the event "Rectors’ Forum of Italian and Uzbek universities", organized by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), in collaboration with the Ministry of University and Research, at Roma Tre University. The project, one of 10 selected from 199 submitted, is coordinated by Prof. Letizia Cinganotto and counts as partners the University of Bergamo and Tashkent State University of World Languages.

The Forum of Italian and Uzbek Rectors was held in the presence of the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Kongratbay Sharipov.

On the agenda for the first working session was the address by the Rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia titled: “Innovative approaches to joint academic collaboration”.
