Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles Day
Also this year our University is joining the initiative promoted by the Radio 2 - Caterpillar program.
The 22nd edition of "M’illumino di Meno" focuses on the fundamental contribution of scientists in the search for solutions to the climate crisis and in building more virtuous alternative models.
The University for Foreigners of Perugia celebrates the National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles by joining the invitation from RUS - University Network for Sustainable Development, to constantly promote virtuous behavior in terms of environmental, economic, and social sustainability.
In addition to lighting the university buildings only with minimal nighttime lighting, the University for Foreigners is taking the lead in promoting the solidarity reuse of computers and other IT equipment.
Solidarity reuse is an opportunity offered to the community to encourage the recovery of these still usable goods, which are given free of charge to Public Administrations, the Italian Red Cross, educational and religious institutions, public or private entities with social or humanitarian purposes, and non-profit organizations (ONLUS). This initiative contributes to achieving the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, spreading the culture and best practices of sustainability within the University and in relationships with other organizations and stakeholders in the area.
Our university will make the decommissioned items available through a notice to the community, following periodic schedules.
