Linguistic collocations in the journalistic neostandard of the first two decades of the 21st century
The project proposes a corpus-based analysis of Neo-Standard Italian in the current linguistic context, using newspaper articles as the main writing model. The focus will be on the transitional period between the era of print and the digital age, particularly in the early years of the twenty-first century, in order to identify the most significant linguistic transformations. The research will mainly concentrate on the analysis of one distinctive linguistic element, namely collocation, seen as both an indicator and a repository of crucial information useful for understanding these changes.
