The course aims to train professionals to serve as online tutors (or e-tutors), individuals capable of engaging with the various stakeholders involved in online learning pathways and of using network resources and tools in a pedagogically targeted manner to meet learners’ needs and support their learning processes. Additionally, the course enables tutors to navigate the University’s LOL platform (Moodle) and become familiar with selected technological tools supporting teaching activities.
The online tutor may act both as a support figure for remote teaching and as a facilitator for online learning, and as an independent professional able to design distance learning pathways and assessment activities.
Experts in online tutoring can apply their professional skills in the following contexts: public and private companies, non-governmental organizations, public administration offices, schools of all levels, and entities or institutions that wish to offer online training for their staff.
The course is also valuable for individuals already working in the field of online education who wish to enhance, update, or further develop their knowledge and skills.
Bachelor’s degree obtained pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/04 or Ministerial Decree 509/99, or a degree obtained under the regulations prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99, or a foreign qualification recognized as equivalent.
For successful participation in the course, a good knowledge of the Italian language is recommended for students who are not native Italian speakers.

All learning activities are asynchronous, allowing maximum flexibility in organizing your study schedule. Participants are required to complete the educational modules sequentially according to a calendar, which specifies their start and end dates. They are also obliged to take the assessments (end-of-module tests and the final assessment) on the days and during the time slots indicated in the same calendar.
An academic tutor supports participants throughout the course, encourages and monitors their active participation, which includes submitting the tasks assigned within each module and engaging in discussions with other participants through the forums. While participation in the forums is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.
