The course aims to train professionals to become online tutors (or e-tutors), equipping them with the skills to interact with the various stakeholders involved in online learning and to use online resources and tools effectively to meet user needs and support learning processes. In addition, the course enables tutors to navigate the University’s LOL (Moodle) platform and to become familiar with specific technological tools that support teaching.
The online tutor can serve both as a support figure for remote instructors and as a facilitator for online learning, as well as operate independently, designing distance learning pathways and assessment methods.
Experts in online tutoring can apply their professional skills in the following areas: public and private companies, non-governmental organizations, public administration sectors, educational institutions of various levels, and organizations or institutions seeking to conduct training for their personnel via online courses.
The course is also valuable for those already working in the field of online education who wish to strengthen, update, or enhance their knowledge and skills.
Bachelor’s degree obtained pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/04 or Ministerial Decree 509/99, or a university degree obtained under the regulations prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99, or a foreign qualification recognized as equivalent.
For successful participation in the course, non-native Italian speakers are recommended to have a good command of the Italian language.
The course is delivered entirely online and is structured into four teaching modules:

All learning activities are asynchronous, so participants can organise their study schedule with maximum flexibility. Learners are required to complete the modules sequentially according to an activity calendar, which specifies the start and end dates for each; furthermore, they must complete the assessments (end-of-module tests and the final assessment) on the days and within the time slots indicated in the same calendar.
An academic tutor supports participants throughout the course, encouraging and monitoring their active engagement, namely the submission of the activities within each module and participation in discussions with other participants in the forums, which, although not mandatory, are highly recommended.
