Sabrina Stroppa has been a full professor of Italian Literature at the University for Foreigners of Perugia since October 1, 2021, after having worked as a researcher and associate professor at the University of Turin (since 1999). She is the director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature and Arts in the World (first term 2022–2025; second term from 2/14/2025, DR 529/2024). She has taught literary subjects, Latin, and Greek in high schools, and literature teaching methodology in teacher qualification programs (from 2001 to 2014). Her main research areas include Petrarch, Renaissance commentaries on Petrarch's vernacular works, seventeenth-century spiritual literature, Metastasio, and contemporary Italian poetry. She co-directs the international journal «Petrarchesca» (rank A: https://www.libraweb.net/riviste.php?chiave=120). She is a member of the editorial board of the journal «inOpera. Exercises in Reading Contemporary Texts» (https://riviste.unimi.it/index.php/inopera) and of the journal «Configurazioni.
