Nota biografica

Graduated in Building Engineering-Architecture, in 2023 she obtained a PhD in Energy and Sustainable Development at the University of Perugia. In 2022, she spent four months as a Visiting Student Research Collaborator (VSRC) at Princeton University (New Jersey, USA), where she conducted research on innovative materials for the built environment. During her doctorate and the following two years as a postdoctoral researcher, she has participated in and still participates in national research projects (PRIN, FISR, and other ministerial programs) and international projects, mainly funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs. Her scientific activities concern (i) the development and characterization of advanced materials for optimizing the energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings, including solutions for passive and radiative cooling of urban surfaces, and (ii) the analysis of indoor and outdoor environmental comfort using a multiphysics approach, with particular attention to thermal and visual aspects. Thanks also to collaboration with national and international industrial partners, she has developed a scientific profile that integrates theoretical, numerical, and experimental skills, as well as abilities in technology transfer and the valorization of intellectual property, as demonstrated by the granting of two utility model patents. The main results of her research activities are collected in publications in high-level international journals, in which she is listed as first author in more than half of the contributions.
