Transfers from/to other universities

The student who intends to transfer from another university must ask the Student Office of the home university whether transferring is possible and then complete the relevant transfer procedure.

Enrollment, in the case of a transfer, is finalized only after the Degree Courses Office of this University receives the documentation from the originating University and provided that the rules governing the destination course are complied with.

At the time of enrollment, the student may also submit any application for exam validation, according to the procedures established for the validation/recognition of credits (CFU). The application will be assessed based on the guidelines for the recognition of credits (CFU).

Students who wish to transfer from the University for Foreigners to another university and are up to date with the payment of fees for the previous academic year must submit an application, complete with a €16.00 revenue stamp (which can also be paid virtually through the pagoPA system), by October 31, 2025, and attach the following documents:

• university record book
• clearance issued by the University Library certifying compliance with the return of any borrowed books

A fee of €300.00 is required for the transfer to another university (or €316.00 if the revenue stamp is paid virtually).
The payment must be made through the PagoPA system.

Transfer to another university is only permitted starting from the second year of enrollment in the program.

From the date the transfer application is submitted, the student cannot take any more exams.
The University will send written notification once the transfer has been completed.

Before starting the transfer process to another university, students are advised to first visit the Student Office of the destination university to check the possibility of transferring, and then begin the relevant procedure.

Once the transfer process to another university has been completed, students cannot return to the University for Foreigners until at least one year has passed since submitting their transfer application, except in cases of particular severity; such applications will be subject to approval by the designated University authorities, who will evaluate the admissibility of the request.
