Have you enrolled or are you planning to enroll in one of our bachelor’s or master’s degree programs and have you already taken exams at other universities?
Do you have certified skills or previous work experience?
You can request the recognition of University Educational Credits (CFU) through the dedicated online form.
We will only consider requests that are duly completed and accompanied by the necessary documentation, as required by the online form and guidelines.
If you have not yet enrolled, you will receive a reply indicating the possible recognition options. This is an informal response intended to guide your decision, but it will have no administrative effect. Therefore, once you have enrolled, you will need to submit a new official recognition request, to which you may attach the response you received.
If you are already enrolled in one of our programs, please note that there are three deadlines for submitting recognition requests each year: October 31, February 28, May 31.
Your request will be reviewed within the month following each deadline (that is, by November, March, or June) and, if accepted, the recognized CFU will be recorded directly by the Registrar’s Office at the latest one month later (that is, by December, April, or July). You will always be able to check the status of your request online once the review process for the formalization of your application has been completed.
In the form it is necessary to:
- Specify the University where the exams were taken and passed.
- Indicate the degree program to which the completed exams belong.
- Specify whether the program in point (2) is a three-year, specialized, or master's degree of the new system (programs under Ministerial Decrees 509/1999 and 270/2004) or from the old system (programs from the old system refer to regulations prior to DM 509/1999 and generally lasted a minimum of four years).
- Indicate the Scientific Disciplinary Sector (SSD) code for the subject of the completed exam. The code can be found in the academic curriculum of the degree program (this code did not exist for degree programs under the old system prior to DM 509/1999).
- Correctly state the name of the exam taken and passed.
- Report the date the exam was passed.
- Indicate the grade obtained. Grades are usually on a scale of thirty. Some exams, instead of a numerical grade, are marked as: passed, completed, etc.
- Indicate the ECTS credits (CFU) earned by passing the exam.
Specify whether the exam was actually taken, following an exam, within the degree program mentioned in point (2), or if its inclusion in the student’s record is the result of dispensation, validation, etc. - Furthermore, specify whether the exam is an integrated exam or not.
Exams Taken Abroad
If you have taken and passed exams at foreign university institutions, you must attach suitable certification issued by the institution where you took and passed the exams, detailing all the completed exams with the requested data [see points 1 to 9].
In order to ensure a proper evaluation, you must provide the course syllabi for each exam.
The certification and the provided syllabi must be accompanied by an official translation in Italian.
