Companies or organizations interested in offering internships or traineeships at their facilities must complete an initial registration by filling out the “Company Profile” form (required only the first time the service is used).
After the necessary checks, the University Orientation Service will confirm the registration via email and it will then be possible to request the signing of the framework agreement.
To host a student or graduate, the company/institution must fill out and sign the following internship documentation (which allows the University to insure the intern at INAIL and for third party liability), which will subsequently be countersigned by the University:
- Framework Agreement: establishes a collaborative relationship that allows a company/institution to host interns. It must be signed by the legal representative and is valid for three years. During its validity, the Framework Agreement may cover multiple interns.
- Agreement with public institutions: agreements entered into between public administrations must be signed exclusively with a digital signature, with an advanced electronic signature, or with another qualified electronic signature; otherwise, they are null and void. The agreement, in PDF/A format with an electronic signature, must be sent exclusively via certified email to the address: protocollo (at) pec.unistrapg.it
Training Project: establishes the learning objectives and the procedures for carrying out the internship. The duration, expected professional skills, and activities to be carried out are defined and agreed upon by the host organization, the tutor, and the intern. For each hosted internship (for students and graduates), a specific training project is drawn up and signed.
The Framework Agreement and the Training Project, already signed by the legal representative of the Host Organization and by the intern for the training project, must be sent back to the Orientation Office via certified email at: protocollo@pec.unistrapg.it at least 20 days before the start of the internship.
The Host Organization must send all internship documentation within the set deadlines, to allow the University, in its capacity as the internship's Promoting Body, to carry out the mandatory internship start notifications required by current regulations, thus avoiding administrative irregularities (also involving the host organizations), which are punishable by law.
Upon receipt of the documentation, copies of the Framework Agreement and the Training Project, countersigned by the University, will be sent back to the Host Organization, always via certified email. Only if the intern is a graduate is the company required to notify the relevant employment center of the start of the internship within 24 hours of the day before (in accordance with Law 296/2006 - Finance Law 2007).
For information
Extracurricular internships are educational opportunities aimed at those who have obtained a degree from the University for Foreigners of Perugia, carried out on the basis of specific requests made by public bodies and host companies with agreements with the University, or by the graduates themselves (these experiences do not constitute an employment relationship).
The extracurricular internships that can be activated by the University are divided into:
- Orientation training internships, aimed at facilitating young people's career choices and employability during the transition from school to work through direct training experience in the workplace. These can be undertaken within twelve months after obtaining the degree and may last a maximum of six months.
- Job entry/re-entry internships, mainly addressed to unemployed persons, including those in mobility, and to job seekers who have obtained a qualification from the University for Foreigners of Perugia. These can be activated more than twelve months after graduation and may last up to 12 months.
On the page dedicated to “internship and placement opportunities” and in the “job bank” section, internship offers/announcements are periodically published specifying the requirements needed to submit applications.
To carry out an orientation training internship or a job entry/re-entry internship, different forms must be used compared to those required for curricular internships/placements.
For orientation training internships and job entry/re-entry internships carried out in the Umbria region, the following forms must be used:
- Extracurricular Internship Agreement Form – Umbria Region
- Training and Orientation Internship Project Form – Umbria Region
- Job Entry/Re-entry Internship Project Form – Umbria Region
The Agreement and the related Training Project, already signed by the legal representative of the Host Organization and by the intern, must be sent back to the Orientation Office via certified email (PEC) to the address: protocollo@pec.unistrapg.it at least 20 days before the start of the internship. Agreements for training and orientation internships entered into between public administrations must be signed exclusively with a digital signature, advanced electronic signature, or another qualified electronic signature, otherwise they are invalid. The agreement, in PDF/A format with electronic signature, must be sent exclusively via certified email to the address: protocollo@pec.unistrapg.it.
