The Department of International Human and Social Sciences aims to create an environment that encourages research activities with a constant focus on quality, addressing the challenges of the present and future based on a solid understanding of the past, with a strong emphasis on the international dimension.
Research is conducted in the areas of political, historical, legal, economic, social, linguistic, computer, and engineering sciences, as well as on topics related to sustainability.
One of the department’s strengths is the heterogeneity of the academic backgrounds of its faculty, which represents both a valuable resource and an incentive for sharing skills and methodologies. For this reason, the research is oriented to be multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, capable of tackling broad scientific and social issues in a cross-cutting way, to produce original and creative knowledge.
